I have a soft spot for hidden quests that make me feel like a detective with a sword. When I dropped back into Whisperwind Haven in 2026 to clean up Rinascita’s side content, the Silver Moon and Crimson Moon knight chain was still one of my favorite little mysteries. The five swords are scattered across the region, and each one comes with a knight who would rather fight than hand it over. I’ll be honest: the first time I did this, I walked past the Knight of Cowardice three times because he was sulking in a bush.

Knight of Cowardice and Sword of Courage
This one is the sneakiest. Teleport to the Whisperwind Haven beacon and look around the area right below the Nexus. The Knight of Cowardice is hiding in a nearby bush, and the bush does a terrible job of hiding him. Speak to him, and he asks you to deal with some fearsome plushies. Once you defeat the plushies around the Sword of Courage, the sword is yours.
Knight of Greed and Sword of Generosity
The Knight of Greed shows up when you try to loot supply chests. Defeat the Fractsidus enemies in the area and unlock the three locked supply chests. When you try to open the last one, the knight appears and starts a quick boss fight. He is an elite Nocturnis Knight with Havoc resistance, so do not rely on Havoc damage alone. Beat him, and you can collect the Sword of Generosity.
Knight of Vanity and Sword of Honor
Cross the large bridge behind Egla Town and you will run into two knights locked in a futile duel. The bridge practically invites a fight, and I was happy to accept. Interrupt their duel and defeat both of them to collect the Sword of Honor. One knight resists Havoc while the other resists Spectro, so bring a team that can handle both.
Knight of Atrocity and Sword of Mercy
The Knight of Atrocity is found as soon as you enter the wild region of Raguuna near the Whisperwind Haven Nexus. He appears in a cutscene while fighting a bunch of Fractsidus enemies, with several echoes lying around him. This is a Questless Knight, and he is stronger than the standard Nocturnis Knights. Trust me, he hits harder than he looks.
Knight of Ignorance and Sword of Wisdom
The Knight of Ignorance holds the Sword of Wisdom at the entrance to Silver Moon Grove. He looks dazed at first, but if you approach him, he snaps out of it and starts fighting. He is another Nocturnis Knight with Havoc resistance. Once he is down, you get the final sword.
How to summon the Knight of Crimson Moon
With all five swords in hand, return to Silver Moon Grove, where you fought the Knight of Ignorance. The five pedestals are arranged around the pond in the middle. Interact with all five and place each sword on its matching pedestal.
After that, interact with the sword that appears in the middle of the lake. The game will ask you to adjust the time to 17:00-18:00. Use the main menu’s clock function to set it. Interact with the sword again, and a cutscene plays as the Knight of Crimson Moon rises out of the lake. The lake holds its breath for a second, and then the boss fight begins.
The Knight of Crimson Moon is not too difficult. Watch for his ranged slashes and flying divebomb attacks, and be ready when he summons another knight to help him. Keep your dodges clean and punish his recovery windows. No sweat.
Quest rewards
Completing the quest gives you two Rare Supply Chests and one Premium Supply Chest. The listed rewards are:
